Big Float at Manitou up for Community Event of the Year award
The Big Float at Manitou Beach has been named as a finalist in the Saskatchewan Tourism Awards of Excellence.
The event that saw over 1,600 people floating in the waters of Little Manitou Lake in July of 2019 is up for the community event of the year award.
Community Development Officer Brendan Manz told northeastNOW events are a big part of the community.
“I think this is the first time that one of our events has been a finalist for this sort of award, so we are pretty excited for it,” Manz said. “It shows the amount of work that went into it and it’s just very nice to be recognized.”
