Mustangs first round playoff schedule released

The Melfort Mustangs released their first round playoff schedule on Tuesday, March 3.

The Mustangs will have home ice advantage in their quarter-final matchup with the Estevan Bruins. It’s the third straight year that Melfort will have home ice advantage in the first round, and the sixth time in seven seasons under Head Coach and General Manager Trevor Blevins that they’ll get home ice.

Things will get underway at the Northern Lights Palace in Melfort on Friday, March 6 and game two will take place the next night. The series will then shift to Estevan for games three and four on Tuesday, March 10 and Wednesday, March 11. Then, if necessary, the teams will rotate hosting games five, six, and seven with the deciding seventh being in Melfort if needed.
