Battlefords Community Players show dates postponed to June

Those planning to attend the play Impromptu on Nuns’ Island will have to wait a little longer.

Battlefords Community Players (BCP) postponed the show, originally scheduled to start March 24, due to COVID-19 precautions.

“For the first time in 40 years, the Battlefords Community Players are postponing the production to start next week,” BCP executive producer Donna Challis said, adding the event will now take place in June instead.

Challis is asking people to hold on to their tickets to use on the rescheduled dates where possible.

“We’ll do everything we can to accommodate them, attending the show at a different time,” she added.

People who can’t attend the new dates can contact the theatre.

Challis suggests if anyone is unable to attend the new dates perhaps they could give their ticket to a friend, or consider the purchase as a donation in an effort to support community theatre.

The show-only production originally scheduled for three days – March 24, 25, 26 will instead take place on one day only – June 9. Those with bookings for the Tuesday date will have the same seat for the new date.

“Anybody who has booked for any date other than a Tuesday, we’ll accommodate them no problem,” Challis said.

The dinner theatre event originally scheduled for April 2, 3 and 4, will now be held June 11, 12 and 13. People can use their tickets for the same day of the week for the rescheduled dates.
