Prince Albert Police are now confirming the person who went off-roading with their truck this month through the Alfred Jenkins playground has been found.

The incident happened on the night of March 16th. Video evidence showed two vehicles, a truck and a snowmobile, driving through the accessible playground. Police spokesperson Charlene Tebbutt says the videos really helped the investigators.

“A lot of members in the community saw the video and shared it,” she said, adding the male turned himself in and was fined $580 under the Recreation, Facilities, and Parks Bylaw.

Police are not releasing the name or the age of the truck driver.

As a result of the incident, several signs were knocked over at the park, and there was presumed damage to the specializing surfacing. The exact cost of the damage won’t be known until the snow melts. Tebbutt said the case is not closed yet, as the driver of the snowmobile has still not been located.

“If anyone has any information about who was driving the Ski-Doo, we would still be interested in hearing from them,” Tebbutt said.
