Shots fired near gas station north of Lloydminster

Maidstone RCMP responded to a report of shots fired at a vehicle leaving a gas station on Highway 17 north of Lloydminster, on Friday night at 10:30 p.m.

RCMP said in a statement that no injuries were found. The vehicle was later found on Highway 17 towards Lloydminster but had no occupants.

Police believe this was not a targeted event at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

Maidstone RCMP would like to remind travelers of the importance of reporting any suspicious activity on highways and roads to police immediately.
