Fire scorches West Hill home

A small one-storey house in Prince Albert’s West Hill area is charred after a fire late Sunday night.

At approximately 10 p.m., the Prince Albert Fire Department responded to the 2400 block of Second Ave. W. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from the main floor of the structure.

The firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, yet the house sustained significant damage.

Fortunately there were no injuries reported.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by members of the Prince Albert Police who were at the scene Monday morning.
