Cameron Judge joins list of Riders who have opted out of CFL deals

Cameron Judge is going to try his luck down south.

The Canadian linebacker has opted out of his CFL deal with the Saskatchewan Roughriders to pursue NFL opportunities.

Judge enjoyed a breakout campaign with the Roughriders in 2019, recording 61 tackles, five sacks, two interceptions and a touchdown in 17 games as a starting linebacker.

The 25-year-old was voted Saskatchewan’s most outstanding Canadian last season and was a finalist for the league-wide award.

Coming out of UCLA, Judge was taken second overall in the 2017 draft by then-Roughriders general manager and head coach Chris Jones. Judge missed almost his entire rookie year due to a shoulder injury.
