Île-à-la-Crosse RCMP restrict access to detachment buildings due to COVID-19 cases in community

The Île-à-la-Crosse RCMP are restricting entry to their detachment buildings due to the recent climb in positive COVID-19 tests in the area.

According to a media release, this change will take into effect today until further notice with front counter service at their detachments only available for emergencies as well as appointments.

Police say they are implementing these changes to protect the community. The Operational Communication Centres are open 24/7 for emergency calls and anyone who calls for assistance should not see a difference in the policing services.

“While there may be new RCMP officers in your community and front-counter services have been restricted, Saskatchewan RCMP is still on the job, responding to calls and working around the clock to keep you safe,” the release said.
