Loon Lake RCMP are currently responding to a situation potentially involving an unknown number of individuals armed and barricaded in a residence on the Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation.
Police secured the area surrounding the perimeter of the residence, while additional RCMP resources are en route to assist with the investigation. Motorists and local residents have been asked to avoid the area as the situation develops, as there will be an increased police presence in the community for an undetermined amount of time.
An update will be provided once the investigation has concluded.
