Made of Steele: A brothers journey to North Stars stardom
For North Stars Jaxon and Wilson Steele, the rink has always been like a second home.
For as long as they can remember, the brothers have been skating, and while the pair were certainly involved in athletics in general through their youth, there was never any doubt that hockey was number one.
“We’ve been playing hockey ever since we could walk,” Wilson said reflecting back on his younger years. “We did play some other sports like baseball and lacrosse when we were growing up, but we’ve always been mainly into hockey, and really passionate about it since we were young.”
The pair saw the pursuit of that passion develop into their early adult years, and ultimately reunite them on the North Stars this season, with Wilson joining the elder Jaxon within the ‘Junior A’ ranks in the Battlefords.
