Meadow Lake RCMP investigating residential shooting

Officers with the Meadow Lake RCMP are currently investigating a shooting that occurred at a residence on January 12.
Officers responded to several calls reporting shots fired near Third Avenue East in Meadow Lake. Upon arrival, officials began investigating the scene for physical evidence and gathering information from witnesses. During the investigation, police received a description of a suspicious vehicle.
Shortly after the investigation, the RCMP received another report mentioning shots fired, this time, at Second Avenue West. A vehicle matching the previous description was seen in the area. Officers were able to locate the vehicle, but the driver was not charged with involvement in the shootings. RCMP North Battleford Forensic Identification Services are currently examining the vehicle and collecting physical evidence.
