For the third time since his arrest, Tyson Eldridge’s show cause hearing has been adjourned.

The 31-year-old suspect from Meadow Lake remains unrepresented after applying for court-appointed council earlier this month.

Eldridge was arrested on December 23 following an incident in a Meadow Lake residence where an adult male and female were allegedly held against their will at gunpoint.

A heavy police presence consisting of Meadow Lake RCMP, Loon Lake RCMP, Meadow Lake Traffic Services, the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and North Battleford Police Dog Services surrounded the residence and surrounding area to maintain public safety.

Eldridge is accused of the following offences:

  • Unsafe storage of a firearm
  • Unlawful confinement
  • Careless use of a firearm
  • Tampering with a serial number of a firearm
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearms
  • Possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition
  • Resisting arrest
  • Nine counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order
  • Three counts of failure to comply with a release order
  • Three counts of failure to comply with a probation order

Eldridge is expected to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court for his show cause hearing on Thursday, January 28.
