Weekend power outages planned in P.A.
SaskPower will perform some work in Prince Albert over the weekend, which requires scheduled power outages in several parts of the city and surrounding rural areas.
“SaskPower is performing some system upgrades requested by the city,” spokesperson Jordan Jackle said. “We’re going to need to shut off the power to a couple of areas, one on Saturday and another on Sunday.”
The Saturday outage, which will run between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. will affect roughly 500 customers east of Sunshine Rd. between the river and Highway 3, Jackle said. The area is largely residential, he noted, and the Cornerstone shopping district will not be affected.
Jackle said the purpose of the Saturday outage is to increase the power supply to the Cooke Municipal Golf Course, which will require some underground line replacement.
