Age eligibility for COVID-19 vaccine drive-thru and walk-in clinics 48 to 54 only

Apr 16, 2021 | 10:18 AM

Given the rapidly changing rollout of the vaccines, Saskatchewan Health Authority is reminding the public as of today drive-thru and walk-in clinics are accepting residents aged 48 to 54 only. They’re on a first-come first-served basis and no appointment is needed for these clinics.

Drive-thrus are underway in Prince Albert and North Battleford. No appointment is necessary and they are on a first-come-first-served basis. A drive-thru in Lloydminster is set to open Saturday and Monday.

P.A. wait times were reported at two to three hours while they were around one hour in North Battleford.

The vaccine age eligibility for booking an appointment has also moved to those 48 years and older.

The Northern Saskatchewan Administration District age eligibility has remained unchanged for those 40 years and older.

Editor’s note: an earlier version of this story said Lloydminster’s drive-thru is open Friday. This is not the case. It opens Saturday and Monday.
