Cumberland, Parkland Colleges planning for safe return to campuses for fall semester
The Cumberland and Parkland College Coalition is hoping to see more students in physical classrooms in the Fall 2021 semester.
The colleges announced on Wednesday, May 5 that plans are in place for a safe return to in-person learning. With the light at the end of the COVID-19 pandemic tunnel getting closer, president and CEO Mark Hoddenbagh told northeastNOW, they were able to put a plan together to have students back in classrooms soon.
“The pandemic seems to be easing,” he said. “And that gives us that opportunity to then bring our staff and students back on campus.”
The Government of Saskatchewan released its re-opening roadmap on Tuesday, something that Hoddenbagh said was a positive as they continue their plans.
