Just one LSSD case of COVID-19

Living Sky School Division reported just one case of COVID-19 within the division this week.

The case was reported out of Connaught Elementary School in North Battleford. Per protocol, LSSD is working closely with Public Health, contact tracing is underway and following a deep cleaning/sanitizing, the school remains open.

Parents students and staff are being reminded to continue following safety measures. Due to privacy concerns, LSSD is not releasing any further details.

Light of Christ Catholic School Division did not report any new cases this past week.

As of May 30, there are 46,635 positive cases of COVID-19 cases in Saskatchewan, 44,667 recoveries and 538 deaths, for a fatality rate of 1.2 per cent. Hospitalizations have dropped to 109 and there are 1,430 active cases, including 148 active cases in the North West Region.

As the province begins Step 1 of the Reopening Roadmap, 717,609 vaccines have been administered and the vaccination requirement for Step 2, scheduled for June 20, is already complete.
