The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) expanded eligibility of second COVID-19 vaccine doses for those 55 years and older—the SHA announced in a statement on Wednesday.

Starting on Thursday at 8 a.m., anybody 55 or older, or those who received their first dose on or before April 7 are eligible for their second shots.

The SHA are also adding additional appointments to the patient booking system, for both first and second doses.

First doses are available to anybody 12 and older, and the SHA is encouraging those who have not received their first shot to book an appointment this week.
