RCMP arrest man after ‘increased police presence’ in Kinistino

Melfort RCMP issued an update on the increased police presence in Kinistino that occurred on Friday.

Police said on Friday morning around 10:30 a.m., with the assistance of the Ministry of Environment Conservation Officers, executed an arrest warrant at a home on Ruttle Avenue in the town. Craig Jensen, a 47-year-old man from Kinistino, was arrested without incident.

He now faces charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and uttering threats.

Firearms and ammunition were also seized from the residence.

The investigation remains ongoing and Jensen will be back in court on June 28. He appeared in Melfort Provincial Court on June 21 as well.
