La Loche RCMP arrest three individuals trafficking suspected fentanyl, cocaine

Three individuals are in police custody following an investigation in La Loche, SK.

On August 12, La Loche RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence on Raphael Street in La Loche. The investigation resulted in police seizing more than $4,000 cash, nearly 300 grams of cocaine, 15 grams of what is believed to be fentanyl and several fake IDs and cell phones.

As a result of the investigation, 33-year-old Fabiana Janvier from La Loche, SK has been charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Yeamet Obong, a 22-year-old from Calgary, AB, has been charged with two counts of possession for the purpose trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, obstructing a peace officer and several other offences.

An unidentified youth under by the Youth Criminal Justice has been charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by a crime and failure to comply.

Each of the suspects is set to appear in court on August 16.
