Hawks look to withdraw two points from Millionaires
The Nipawin Hawks will look to regain their flight on the road in Melville Tuesday night.
The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League club is coming off a 3-0 loss Saturday in Kindersley against the Klippers. All three of Kindersley’s goals came shorthanded including an empty net goal while starter Chase Hamm was on the bench for the extra attacker. Head Coach Doug Johnson said frustration is starting to boil over.
“It’s very disappointing, I know a lot of the guys that are on the powerplay are upset and rightfully so. We need to start working together as a team and make sure everyone is doing their part to be the team we all know we can be,” Johnson said.
The Hawks have struggled scoring goals over the past six games, the club has generated just 10 goals. Nipawin sits with a record of 6-6-0-1 and in seventh place. Johnson said the work continues to find more goals.
