Tri-communities in the Halloween spirit
Halloween lands on Sunday this year giving tri-community residents plenty of time to celebrate.
La Ronge RCMP confirmed there will be regular patrols with additional members during peak trick-or-treating hours. Staff Sgt. Dean Bridle recommends walking in groups and to wear reflective clothing so motorists can easily spot trick-or-treaters.
“Be careful crossing the streets and watch out for vehicles,” he said. “If driving your children around to different neighbourhoods, please make sure they are not walking or running out in front of your vehicle to across the street as passing motorists may not see them.”
The La Ronge Regional Fire Department will also be patrolling and firefighters will be giving away candy from fire trucks. Command units will also be out and about in the event anyone is in need of assistance.
