Temporary closure of post office in Smeaton

Staffing issues has led to the temporary closure of the post office in Smeaton.

Canada Post confirmed the situation in an email to northeastNOW.

While a contingency plan is in the works, residents of the community can pick-up their mail at the Legion Hall.

“Once plans are finalized, we will communicate them to customers,” Eunice Machuhi with Canada Post Media Relations said.
