55 active COVID cases at the province’s jails
According to the latest numbers from the Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety, a total of 30 staff members at the province’s jails are currently dealing with COVID-19.
As of Thursday, Saskatoon Correctional had the most staff impacted with 17. The Prince Albert Correctional, Regina Correctional and Pine Grove each had two cases.
The province’s youth facilities (Paul Dojack, Killburn Hall, Prince Albert and Drumming Hill) each have one staff member listed as an active case.
With respect to inmates, there’s 25 active cases and 24 are located at the Saskatoon Correctional. The other infected inmate is at Pine Grove in Prince Albert. None of these current cases are in hospital.
