The Saskatchewan Roughriders are keeping Terran Vaughn in its plans for 2022.

The team announced Tuesday that it has signed the 27-year-old to a contract extension.

Vaughn was set to be the Riders’ starter at offensive tackle in 2021 but suffered a shoulder injury in training camp, ending his season before the first regular-season game.

Vaughn first signed with Saskatchewan in 2017 and made his debut a year later, playing seven games in 2018.

Vaughn made 15 starts at tackle in 2019, helping the Riders go 13-5 and host the CFL West Final.

Centre Dan Clark and Vaughn were the only two returning starters from 2019 to participate in the Riders’ training camp in 2021.

He played his college football at Stephen F. Austin State University, spending four seasons there.
