North Stars game Saturday postponed due to COVID

Jan 28, 2022 | 3:49 PM

The Battlefords North Stars have seen another game postponed, as news broke Friday afternoon the team’s matchup Saturday in Kindersley will need to be rescheduled due to COVID.

The postponement comes as Kindersley will be taking a pause from team activities due to positive COVID cases, just a week after the Stars were hopeful to return to action after having to do the same.

The North Stars have not played since Jan. 15, but are scheduled to return to action, Tuesday, Feb. 1 versus Humboldt. The NAPA Auto Parts North Stars Hockey Broadcast will be available on 1050 CJNB. The Ultra Print Pregame Show will begin at 7 p.m. with puck drop to follow at 7:30 p.m.

Saturday’s contest will be the fourth game the Stars are in need of rescheduling. The team is still awaiting makeup dates for games at home against Nipawin and Flin Flon, and on the road against Notre Dame, and now Kindersley.
