Prince Albert Dept. investigates pair of Saturday structure fires

The causes of two structure fires Saturday in Prince Albert remains under investigation.

At approximately 8 a.m., fire crews responded to the 100th block of 27th Street East. Upon arrival and investigation there was smoke in a structure.

Forced entry was required and one person was subsequently removed and transferred to EMS care. Parkland Ambulance has since confirmed for paNOW the person taken to hospital was in good and stable condition.

The fire department extinguished the fire and removed burning materials.

At 5:20 p.m., fire crews then responded to a structure fire in the 700th block of 13th Street West.

Upon arrival they found the unoccupied multi-unit structure was fully involved. The fire was knocked down by an interior attack.

There were no injuries reported, however there was extensive damage to the structure.
