Search underway for missing Dalmeny man

UPDATE: The RCMP have reported Vellacott has been found safe.

Warman RCMP are asking the public to help locate 42-year-old Chad Vellacott who has been reported missing.

Vellacott was last seen Tuesday morning and is believed to have left on foot from the rural residence where he lives near Dalmeny, sometime between 11:00 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. He has not been in contact with anyone since.

Police have conducted extensive patrols searching for Vellacott and believe he may have gotten a ride from someone, but this is not confirmed.

Vellacott is described as 6 feet tall, very slim, with short brown hair, a scruffy beard and wire framed glasses. Due to the extremely cold temperatures, there’s concern for his wellbeing.

If you see him, gave him a ride, or know of his whereabouts, please contact Warman RCMP at 306-975-1670, 310-RCMP or call 911 in an emergency.
