Christmas village is helping two local organizations make much needed repairs and upgrades
Melfort & District Museum and the North Central Health Care Foundation (NCHCF) are celebrating the success of the Christmas Village.
The Museum presented NCHCF with a cheque for $3,000 on Feb. 11. The Christmas Village ran for 13 days and raised a total of $6,000 to be split between the two organizations.
Gailmarie Anderson, museum curator, said the two organizations partnered together to celebrate Christmas in a way that was safe to do so during the pandemic.
“We thought that we could have an outdoor event. We have wanted to do this for several years so I talked to Dr. Yemi. He thought it was a great idea and he said he would partner with us. “
