Flawless road trip falls just short, as Hounds edge Stars 4-2
The Battlefords North Stars fell just short of a perfect road swing this week, as they lost the final game of their three-in-three southern swing Thursday, 4-2 at Notre Dame.
Stars forward, Dylan Esau scored a power play goal in the loss for his 13th of the year, while blue liner, Sam Witt added his fourth of the campaign and second in his last three games.
Between the pipes, goaltender Michael Harroch stopped 28 of 30 before leaving the game, following a collision late in the second. Austin Schwab stopped 11 of 12 in the third period after coming on to finish the game.
Notre Dame’s Elliot Dutil scored a pair for the Hounds in the win to bring his total this season to 32, and Jaryd Sych added another for his seventh. Kevin Anderson capped the night with his 22nd into the empty net, while In goal, Ryley Osland stopped 39 of 41 for the win.
