Meadow Lake RCMP made two more arrests in relation a case of forcible confinement and mail theft earlier this year.

Dallas Gunn, who was wanted for possession of stolen property and stolen mail, was located and arrested on Saturday. This followed the arrest of 36-year-old Brenda Partridge last month who was charged with aggravated assault, forcible confinement and possession of matter stolen from mail.

This stemmed from a woman being threatened and assaulted by multiple people on Jan. 29, which lead to the discovery of a large quantity of mail that had been the source of an ongoing investigation in the city.

Further investigation in the past week revealed that a second assault had occurred to an adult male who was treated in hospital for non-life-threatening injuries in late January. As a result, Partridge is charged with an additional count of aggravated assault.

Additionally, RCMP arrested 19-year-old Meadow Lake resident Montana Morin on March 5 in relation to these investigations. He has been charged with forcible confinement, possession of property obtained by crime, two counts of aggravated assault and eight counts of possession of matter stolen from mail.

Gunn, Partridge and Morin will all appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on March 7.
