Bjorkdale man accused of drug trafficking

A man from Bjorkdale is facing over a dozen charges after a drug bust last week in the small community.

Rudi Betthel, 54, is currently being sought by RCMP.

Last Wednesday, Tisdale RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence in Bjorkdale, and seized 252 grams of methamphetamine, and over 200 hydromorphone pills.

They also found cash, a loaded prohibited firearm, and items associated with drug trafficking.

Among Betthel’s charges are two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and four counts of failure to comply with release order conditions.
