Loon Lake RCMP have confirmed the woman who was previously unaccounted for, following a house fire on Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation last weekend, has died.

The fire took place in the overnight hours of Sunday, Jan 7.

A number of people made it out of the house and were treated for minor injuries. At the time, they informed authorities that a 32-year-old woman was unaccounted for. Two days later, a body was discovered, and an autopsy performed on Wednesday, Jan. 10 confirmed the woman’s identity.
