Nominations were accepted until Feb. 23. Meadow Lake Chamber of Commerce administrator Adriane Ouellette said a high number of individuals and organizations were brought forward for the various categories, and have the choice to accept or decline their nod. A panel of three judges will decide on the award-winners.

For the business of the year award, the Meadow Lake OSB (Tolko), Meadow Lake Co-op, Northwest College, Eagle Creek Motors, and Meadow Lake Kentucky Fried Chicken are nominated.

The final winners for all categories including the aforementioned groups, as well as community builder, Aboriginal business of the year, business of the year, volunteer of the year, and customer service will be announced at the awards gala on Wednesday, March 21 at the Meadow Lake Civic Centre.
