Construction delayed at new Sask Hospital

An anticipated completion date for the new Saskatchewan Hospital in North Battleford will be extended.

The province and Access Prairies Partnership announced today it will not be able to meet the anticipated June 1 completion target due to a delay from a subcontractor. It’s expected to push the project by two to three months, but other subcontractors are already in the works to complete the project, according to the province.

Access Prairies Partnership will cover all costs related to the delay.

The province stated there are processes in place for the government to recoup costs relative to delays.
