Police release name of victim killed in June 28 shooting

Police have released the name of the man who died after a shooting in Prince Albert, in what became the city’s first homicide of 2018.

P.A. Police confirmed that Tyrell Bird died as a result of the shooting in the city’s midtown area last month. The 28-year-old died from his injuries in a Saskatoon hospital.

Police said Bird was shot June 28 in an alley in the 200-block of Ninth St. E. The shooting happened around 9 p.m.

No arrests have been made in connection with Bird’s death, and police say they continue to investigate.
