RCMP are investigating after a man was menaced with bear spray and robbed Tuesday evening in North Battleford.

According to police, the male victim was sitting in a parked vehicle at 17th Ave and 96th St. shortly before 10:30 p.m. July 10 when two men approached his vehicle. One of the robbers showed the victim a can of bear spray while the other grabbed a bag from the vehicle which RCMP said contained cash. Both suspects fled the area after the robbery, RCMP said, and the victim was uninjured.

RCMP said one of the suspects was described as a First Nations male between 18 and 21 years old, six feet tall with a slim build and thin moustache. Both suspects were wearing black, flat-brimmed ball caps, police said.

Anyone with information on the robbery or suspects was asked to contact Battlefords RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
