Maidstone RCMP members are thanking the public for help locating three stolen vehicles.

One of the vehicles was stolen from Paynton, Sask. It was reported stolen and later recovered in North Battleford Aug. 13. Police said the recovery was made possible thanks to the public and social media.

The second vehicle was reported stolen from Lloydminster. Police received a report the stolen Jeep was travelling down Highway 16. A witness recognized the Jeep and reported it to police who pulled the vehicle over and arrested two individuals. One of those arrested was a youth, while the other was Jonah Mitsuing, a resident of Loon Lake. Mitsuing was charged with possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of break-in instruments, and failure to comply with an undertaking. He was released and is scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on Aug. 28.

Police recovered the third vehicle Aug. 15 after it was reported stolen North of Lloydminster. That vehicle was also recovered after police received assistance from the public.
