Sole practitioner Brenda R. Hildebrandt has been appointed a judge to Court of Queen’s Bench in Battleford. She replaces Justice G.N. Allbright, who elected to become a supernumerary judge as of Aug. 31, 2016.

Hildebrandt obtained her LL.B. from the University of Saskatchewan in 1983 and was called to the Saskatchewan Bar in 1984 after articling with Gauley & Co. in Saskatoon.

After 13 years with the firm, working primarily in health law and civil litigation, she moved to southeastern Saskatchewan and opened a sole practice while participating in a joint farming and ranching operation.

Hildebrandt served six years on the board of Saskatchewan Legal Education Society, holding the position of President from 2003-04. In 2004, she was appointed Queen’s Counsel for Saskatchewan.
