The case involving a Cochin area man facing a second-degree murder charge is now in the pre-trial stages at Queen’s Bench Court in Battleford.

Joshua Roy Tucker, 27, is charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of 59-year-old Gordon Tucker, his father.

The preliminary hearing in the case wrapped up at North Battleford Provincial Court Thursday. Judge Dan O’Hanlon determined there is sufficient evidence to proceed with a trial.

The RCMP previously reported they found Gordon Tucker deceased on May 31, 2018, on a rural property southeast of Cochin.
