Cashton Bruce Darren Ray was born on Saturday, October 8, 2011 in Prince Albert, SK and passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017 in Saskatoon, SK at the age of 5 years. Cashton is survived by his loving family, his mother Lisa Merasty, his father Duane Ray, his sisters and brother Regan, Caitlyn, Zoey and Callen, his great-grandparents Verna & Mac Merasty, Adele Ray and Leonard Ray, his grandmothers Cindy (David) Merasty and Ramona Ray, Lisa’s sisters and brothers Christina (Preston), Alma, Jennifer (Tyrell), Darren and James (Lee Ann) Merasty, Duane’s sisters and brothers Kelsea (Roy), Whitney, Dustin (Susan), Chris (Wendy), Darren (Kayla) and Grayson (Nina), his great-aunts Joyce (Myrna) and family, Karen (Pierre Sr.) Bighetty and family, Colleen (Eric) and family, Judy (Chris), Joanne, Gerri and  Sesi (Emile), his great-uncles Peter (Noreen) and family, Tom, Paul (Shauna), Roland, Bruce (Ina), Ron (Eileen), Bob (Liz), Stan (Lorraine) and Burton, and his god-parents Lewis McDonald & Elizabeth Caribou and Christopher Ratt & Amanda Ray, as well as all aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents. He was predeceased by his grandfathers Gerald Bruce McCallum and Franklin McDonald, his great-grandparents Antoine & Mary McCallum, Paul & Victoria Caribou and Henry & Evelyn McDonald, his uncle Dwayne Ray, his great-uncle Darrell Merasty, and his special friend Gilbert Bear. A prayer service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at River Park Funeral Home, Margaret Ferchuk officiating. A wake service will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 and Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the multi-purpose building in Sandy Bay, SK. Cashton’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Roman Catholic Church in Sandy Bay, SK, Father Joseph Subash officiating.
