DYCK – George, age 76, passed away at home in Christopher Lake on March 27, 2017. He was the youngest of 10 children born to Peter and Aganetha Dyck. Happily married to Margaret and he had three sons, Ken, Stephen and Tim. He worked for CN Rail for 35 years in various locations in Saskatchewan and Northern Ontario. George and Margaret retired and moved to Christopher Lake on their 80 acres of paradise. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, fishing and rodeos. He was also known to frequent the odd auction sale to pick up a box of goodies and a hamburger. Survived by his sons Ken (Vicky), Tim (Rosemary) – grandchildren Krysten (Shaun) Sullivan, Kari, Peter (Chelsea), Tyler and Cory; sisters Eva Pittman, Helen Wiebe, Martha Radiuk, Elizabeth (Bernard) Sadowski as well as numerous nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his wife Margaret, son Stephen, and special friend Elfrieda; siblings Bill (Theresa) Dyck, Pete (Eva) Dyck, Nettie (Nick) Friesen, Ann (Abe) Penner, Tina (Jim) Gannon; brothers in law, Abe and Jake Wiebe, Eldon Zacharias, John Radiuk and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at St. Joseph Church 260 25th Street East, Prince Albert on Saturday April 1, 2017. Visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. and Service at 2:00 p.m. with Rev’d Tony Thompson officiating. Interment at a later date at Davin Lake.
