Gilbert Jacob Morin was born on Thursday, June 10, 1948 in Sandy Bay, SK and passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018 in Sandy Bay, SK at the age of 69 years. Jacob is survived by his loving family: his special friend, Yvonne Bear; his wife, Rosalie C. Morin; his sons, Vincent, David (Freda), Devon (Stella) and Dennis; his daughters, Roma (Ryan), Laverne and Betty Ann (Leroy); his stepdaughters, Sarah (Leonard), Pamela (Andy), Geraldine (Clayton), Connie, Gary (Donna); his adopted children, Kendra (Leonard), Paul (Heather), Joshua and Patricia Dorion (Glen); his special brother, Brent (Marilyn); his brothers, George, Mike, Hector (Doreen), Peter (Sharon), Joey and J.B. (Rose) Dorion; his sisters, Margaret, Sarah, Susan and Renee (Dennis); his special grandchildren, Kaylee, Tristin, April Dawn, Sandor Morin and Paisley; his best friends, Arnold (Nancy) Dorion, George (Kathy) Morin, Ivan (Tammy) McCallum, Gilbert (Eva) Dorion, Steve Dorion, Leon Dorion, Isaiah Sewap, Bradley Dorion, Allen (Nora) Bear, Ross Custer, Dennis (Demoley) Nateweyes, Arnold Custer and all his North Bay co-workers; his friend, Wally Bazarkiewicz; his favorite cuz, Maggie Hunter; and his godchild, Elise Colomb; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and all those who knew and loved him. He was predeceased by his parents, Elise Morin and Phillip Morin; his nieces, Marilyn Morin and Heather Morin; his sisters-in-law, Eileen Morin and Virginia Ray; his brothers, Louie, Dennis, Phillip, Morgan and Lloyd; his sisters, Helen, Bertha and Veronica; his aunties, Rosie, Catherine and Flora; his uncles, Johnny, Peter, Angus and William; his grandchildren, Bridgette, Kiefer, Nadine and Breanna; his brothers-in-law, Reginald Doucette and Elwood Hennings; his godson, PJ Bear; and his cousins, Cornelius Ballantyne, Ovide Schmidt, Lena Gozen, Garry Morin, Lazar Morin, Harry Morin Sr., Hilliard Morin, Louis P. Morin, Doris Morin, Pat Morin and Susan Morin. A prayer service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at River Park Funeral Home in Prince Albert, SK. Jacob’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Roman Catholic Church in Sandy Bay, SK, Father Joseph Subhash officiating. Interment to follow at Sandy Bay Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of River Park Funeral Home in Prince Albert, SK, Paula Hanson, Funeral Director.
