It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Katherine Klatt, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, who passed away at Birchview Special Care Home on April 16th,2018 at the age of 97 years.  Katherine was born in Poland to Thomas and Carolyne Loszchuk and at the age of 10, along with brothers: Walter and John, sisters: Magdelan, Frances and Nell, the family took the journey and moved to Canada. In July of 1940, Katherine married the love of her life Roy Klatt and they brought into the world their daughter Angie.  Everyone that knew Katherine knew how much she loved and enjoyed life, helping anyone who asked and challenging people to a good game of cards and spoiling them with some homemade baked goods.

Katherine will forever be missed by her daughter: Angie Smibert; sister: Nell Falcon; brother: Tony (Dorothy) Loszchuk; brother-in-law: Elmer Klatt; granddaughters: Laurie Marud; Chris (Pat) Bourque; Caroline (Henry) Jordan; great-grandchildren: Michelle (Craig) Smibert-Brown; Donna (Byran) Ryon; Malissa (Mike) Hall-Braaten; Jessie (Chalsea) Marud; Brandon Powell; Terrence Powell; Bryan Bourque; great-great-grandchildren: Blake Logan Brown; Jaydan Aaron

Braaten; Kaleb Royce Brown; Phoenix Ashton Marud; Brynn Katherine Ryon; Jude Arthur Braaten; Zoe Angeline Marud; Cameron Clinton Ryon; Reed Marie Braaten; Remi Anna Marie Marud; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.  Katherine is predeceased by husband: Roy Klatt; parents: Thomas and Carolyne Loszchuk; brothers: Walter, John, and Allen; sisters: Magdelan; Frances; grandson, Aaron A. Marud; sons-in-law: Adam Marud and Gordon Smibert.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at 1:00 pm from St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, 581 9th Street East, Prince Albert with Rev’d Fr.
