Receivers are used to being at the centre of the play, making spectacular catches and scoring touchdowns, but with the Roughriders they’re focusing on a lot more.

Even with Zach Collaros back in the picture, Roughriders head coach Chris Jones doesn’t seem to want to commit to a starting quarterback.

Or at least to admit it publicly.

Collaros hid preseason injury from Riders staff

The struggling Riders offence is getting a bit of a boost.

Quarterback Zach Collaros was taken off the six-game injured list a few weeks earlier than expected, after being sidelined with a concussion in the second week of the season.

Stephen McAdoo could hear Rider fans booing.

The offensive co-ordinator may spend the game behind a glass window halfway up the west side of Mosaic Stadium, but it’s not soundproof and he knew exactly how Rider Nation was feeling.

Riders release Jerome Messam following criminal charges

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have released Canadian running back Jerome Messam after criminal charges have been laid against him.

In a statement, the CFL said Messam was charged with voyeurism from an incident in November 2016.

The Riders announced the move in a tweet Monday.
