Police patrol leads to altercation, arrest of four suspects
A routine patrol led to an altercation between the Prince Albert police and four suspects.
In the early morning hours of Aug. 17, an officer noticed a suspicious vehicle outside a residence known for criminal activity. The vehicle was also determined to be stolen.
A man and a woman exited the vehicle and attempted to enter the residence. The officer gave orders to the suspects which were ignored. The man reached for a suspected concealed weapon when the officer tried to arrest him. More officers arrived on scene and assisted the first officer by using pepper spray and defense and control techniques.
Following the fight, a knife which had fallen to the ground was seized. Two other men were arrested and the stolen vehicle was searched. Two firearms, a BB handgun and ammunition for the weapons were found and taken.
