Middlemost leads McMaster Marauders to 29-13 win over Windsor Lancers

HAMILTON — Tyson Middlemost caught two touchdown passes to lead McMaster to a 29-13 victory over Windsor in U Sports football action Saturday afternoon at Ron Joyce Stadium.

Middlemost caught a 29-yard catch from Jackson White late in the first quarter and they connected again for a seven-yard TD reception just before halftime.

Adam Preocanin added five field goals for the sixth-ranked Marauders, who improved to 6-1. The Lancers remained winless at 0-7.

WOLFVILLE, N.S. — Dale Wright rushed for 193 yards and two touchdowns as Acadia prevailed over St. F-X.

QB Cody Cluett passed for 249 yards and two TDs for the Axemen Acadia (5-2).

Dylan Fisher threw for 213 yards and a touchdown for the X-Men (3-4).

GRYPHONS 24 GOLDEN HAWKS 14

GUELPH, Ont. — Kicker Gabe Ferraro connected on 5-of-7 field goal attempts and added two singles to lead the Gryphons past Laurier.

Johnny Augustine rushed 31 times for 176 yards for Guelph (4-3).

Levondre Gordon rushed 21 times for 71 yards and a touchdown to lead the Golden Hawks (5-2).

OTTAWA — Quarterback Alex Lavric completed 17-of-29 pass attempts for 337 yards and three touchdowns to lift the Gee Gees (5-2) over Waterloo (4-4).

Tre Ford led the offence for the Warriors, completing 11-of-17 pass attempts for 143 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed 14 times for 164 yards.

OTTAWA — Nathan Carter rushed for 183 yards and three touchdowns in Carleton’s (3-4) rout of Toronto (1-6).

KINGSTON, Ont. — QB Nate Hobbs threw for 362 yards and four touchdowns as Queen’s (3-4) stomped York (1-6). Jake Puskas rushed for 160 yards and two touchdowns for the Gaels. 

Quarterback Matt Krason completed 12-of-23 pass attempts for 122 yards and three TDs for the Lions.

HALIFAX — Johnny King had a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in Saint Mary’s rout of Bishop’s.

QB Kaleb Scott passed for 310 yards and no interceptions for the Huskies (5-1).

Vincent Dube had a field goal and a convert for Bishop’s (1-5).

MONTREAL — Adam Vance led Concordia in the air and on the ground past rival McGill.

Vance threw for 293 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 35 yards and another TD for the Stingers (3-3).

Kicker Findlay Brown had a field goal and a convert for the Redmen (1-5).

SHERBROOKE, Que. — Montreal tightened its grip on first in the RSEQ conference with its fifth straight win, dropping the Vert et Or to 1-5.

CALGARY — Adam Sinagra connected on 21-of-42 pass attempts for 326 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions as the Dinos defeated Manitoba.

Receivers Hunter Karl and Michael Klukas each caught a TD pass for Calgary (6-0).

Brad Mikoluff had four field goals and two converts to lead the Bisons (1-5).

EDMONTON — Quarterback Noah Picton completed 35-of-46 passes for 387 yards and five touchdowns as Regina slipped past Alberta.

Picton also rushed for a TD as did Atlee Simon for the Rams (4-2).

Brad Baker led the Golden Bears (1-5) with 437 yards and four touchdowns.

SASKATOON — Michael O’Connor was 37 of 51 for 466 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions while also connecting with Trivel Pinto 13 times for 156 yards as UBC (4-2) held off Saskatchewan (2-4).
