Alcohol a factor in car crashing into tree

The early Saturday morning crash that sent two to hospital now seems to be alcohol related.

Parkland Ambulance first reported two women were taken to hospital with injuries. But police confirmed the two injured women were passengers and a 23-year-old man was driving.

paNOW has learned the name of the driver was Drew Young.

Young was in the van, passed-out behind the wheel when police found him. They said Young was visibly intoxicated and subsequently arrested. He was taken back to cells and failed breathalyzer tests. 

Young is charged with with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, three counts of impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, two counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and one count of exceeding .08.
