Officers from Prince Albert’s Integrated Street Enforcement Team seized drugs and weapons after searching two homes Monday night, and arrested a 39-year-old man.

Officers executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 400-block of 12 Street E. shortly before midnight Monday. After arresting the male occupant of the apartment, police located a large amount of cash along with 73 grams of methamphetamine, 52 nine-milligram hydromorphone pills, a water bottle half full of suspected GHB, a cell phone and tablet, a digital scale, and bear spray.

Police searched a second residence in the 700-block of McCraney Cresc., which was frequented by the suspect arrested at the apartment. During that search, police said they located a second digital scale and a Taser flashlight.

The suspect, 39-year-old Christopher Halayka, is now facing numerous drug and weapon charges, as well as breaching a recognizance. He was scheduled to make his first appearance this morning in Prince Albert Provincial Court, and is presumed innocent at this stage.
