North Battleford girl dances her way to Telemiracle

Hopes weren't very high when Tifa Dezic’s mother Twilla Gagne read the audition letter from Telemiracle. 

“At first we thought I didn’t get in because how it started out. It said 'thank you for auditioning for Telemiracle,' so I didn’t think I got in.”

If you were walking by Battleford Central School Friday Feb.5, you may have heard “Whoa” coming from the gymnasium quite a few times. Students filled the gym as Ricky Forbes from the show Tornado Hunters put on quite the memorable assembly for Kaitlyn Russell, Grade 4, and her peers.

Public support needed for 2018 Sask. Winter Games bid

North Battleford is one of the two finalists up for hosting the 2018 Saskatchewan Winter Games and the city hopes public support can help their cause.

The selection committee will tour North Battleford and competing city Lloydminister before making their decision.
