Shortly after 9 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 9, members of the Meadow Lake RCMP were patrolling the Flying Dust First Nation area and attempted to pull over a vehicle.
In a media release, Sgt. Ryan How said the driver failed to stop for police immediately then tried to run into a house.
“A 20-year-old male from Flying Dust has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle over .08, obstruction of a peace officer, and several charges under the Traffic Safety Act,” he said. “RCMP were very dismayed to find two children under the age of 12 in the vehicle at the time of the arrest.”
